Amazing Stories

Many of the stories and poems in this book were written on Scout outings during my 27 years as an adult leader. We always emphasized the need to make sure the boys had fun while following their own Scouting trail. Early on, I did not realize how much fun I would have. I always looked forward to the new discoveries which Scouting had to offer and knew the smiles would always help to brighten the day. It was easy in my family to focus upon Scouting since everyone was involved. We all had fun as we absorbed the Scouting Spirit. It can be a bit confusing as when James came to me and asked:

 

“Dad, are you telling me this as my Scoutmaster or as my father?”
